Demi Au Pair & Au Pair Programme

Approximate weekly wages:

Demi Au Pair (15 - 20 hours) = $100 - $130 per week

Au Pair (30 - 40 hours) = $150 - $200 per week

Demi Au Pair (15-20 hours per week)

Demi Au Pair is suitable for those students who want to study and do housework and childcare at the same time. Suitable for those students who do not have much experience and/or qualifications for early child care. Usually the room and food are provided by the family and two days off in the week.

Sample one day schedule (approximately 3 - 4 hours work per day)

              6:30am                           Wake up

 7:00am               Assist Children to dress

 7:30am               Prepare breakfast

 8:00am               Leave for GEOS ALC

 9:00am               English Lesson

 3:15pm              Finish School and go home

 4:00pm              Prepare Dinner

Au Pair (30-40 hours per week)

Once the students have completed their GEOS ALC course, students are eligible to apply for this programme. Students require good experience in childcare and in most cases relevant qualifications are also required. Usually the room and food are provided by the family and two days off in the week.

Sample one day schedule (approximately 6 - 8 hours work per day)

               6:30am                         Wake up

               7:00am                         Assist Children to dress

               7:30am                         Prepare breakfast

               8:00am                         Take children to school

               9:00am                         Cleaning

 11:00am                         FREE

               3:00pm                         Go to pick up children

               4:00pm                         Prepare Dinner
